The New Ferrari Poster Car
With the recent release of the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2, Ferrari has made the ultimate poster car for the years to come.
The SP1 and SP2 are essentially the same car but with different seat configurations. The SP2 has 2 seats, 2 rollbar humps, and a support brace the separates the driver and passenger, while the SP1 has just one seat, 1 rollbar hump, and a fully covered tonneau cover over where the passenger seat would be. The all-new Monza SP1 and Sp2 were built as a homage to the original Ferrari Monzas from the 1950’s and 60’s.
In my opinion, this is what Ferrari (and all supercars manufactures) should be doing, they should be producing cars that are over the top and stunningly beautiful. Who cares about practicality, just make the cars a piece of art that feel and sounds special as you drive them. Ferrari has hit the nail on the head with this one! With the different two seat configurations, a “virtual windscreen”, and the mini butterfly doors Ferrari could not have designed a more outrageous car that could also be understated. Yes you did read that last sentence correctly, a “virtual windscreen. Ferrari has patented the idea to add a protrusion slightly ahead of the gauge cluster to divert wind from the driver to make for a more enjoyable driving experience. The best part about the whole car may be that it will come with the beloved Ferrari V12 that will be placed in the front of the vehicle and the 808 prancing ponies will make a glorious sound from the rear of the Monza. Although Ferrari has not released production numbers or pricing, we all know that they will be very limited and extremely expensive.
