Here is one of the nicest drag cars on the market. This 1966 Nova has had a complete frame off restoration and custom fabrication rebuild with no expense spared. This build totaled over $200,000 with only the best of the best working on this piece of art. Starting off with the engine, which was built and tuned by Mike Herring to produce 750HP on pump gas. The body and paint were worked on by Tony McDowell. He shaved the gas cap and the body was perfected with no Bondo on any part of the car, only metal. The paint was done to the same caliber and is seriously the nicest black paint we have ever seen and reads over 15 mills thick over the entire car. Dennis Blackstone custom fabricated the whole front clip to work with coilovers and allow for the front hinged hood. Dennis also fabricated the wheelie bars and the roll cage which is certified up to 8.5 seconds. The interior was crafted by Rod Bean, which won an award at the Boise Roadster Show. Boasting 5 awards and the sweepstake winner of the Chevy All Star Show, this Nova is a real show stopper. Not only does it look great, but it made 5 passes one of which running a 9.27 at 143mph at 3,800 ft elevation. This beast could be used on the strip like it was built for or it could be slightly modified to be an insane restomod. You will not find a more meticulous build for a 1966 Chevy II Nova.
