Lupo Motors is proud to offer for sale this incredible, award winning, 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS. A classic example of performance and luxury, debuting at the 1966 Geneva Auto Show, the 330 GTS was created to fit between the sporty 275 GTB and the grand touring style 2+2 330 GT. Utilizing the same chassis of the 275 and engine of the 330, the car borrowed many elegant styling cues and body parts from the two models as well. With 345bhp coming from the four liter V12, the car delivered the expected Ferrari virtues, and was found to be quieter and more refined, according to Road & Track Magazine in their August 1968 road test. Just 100 of these 330 GTS’s were built, and are now a valued addition to any Ferrari collection.
Sold new from Ferrari in Modena in March of 1967, this particular car has an incredibly storied history. Finished in the original paint color (Azzurro 20336 A), the body was expertly restored by the renowned restorer of Perfect Reflections, Brian Hoyt, during his ownership of the car. During this nut and bolt restoration, the car was gone through entirely, to meet the qualifications of the top concours events. The engine was meticulously rebuilt and detailed by Patrick Ottis. The complete concours restoration was completed by Bob Smith Coachworks in 2016, just in time for its showing debut. In its first showing, the 330 won 2nd in class at the 2016 Ferrari Nationals in Ohio. The car was then sent back to Bob Smith to address any issues found during the judging process, it was then sent out to the Concorso Italiano in Monterey 2016 where it won Best in Class. The following year the car took 1st in Class at Cavallino 2017, and won People’s Choice at the Palm Beach Jet Center show. To reach an even higher level in 2018, the car was sent to Tom Yang, a vintage Ferrari restorer, to correct any more judging notes in the past few years. This was very successful as the car won Best in Class at Greenwich Concours D’Elegance 2018, as well as Best in Class and the Platinum Award at the Concorso Italiano Monterey 2018. The car has been shown at several other noteworthy events such as The Quail (2016, 2018), 53rd Ferrari Club of America Nationals, and Gordon McCall’s Motorwerks Monterey Jet Center Party (2016) to name a few. Included with the car are original books and both tool kits, a Marcel Messini Report on the history of the car.
